Re: 4 Sale?

Yeah, it doesn't get driven much, I'm out of space, other projects and to make it go how I want it to will cost me more than I can afford right now (school fees etc...sob story) If I don't get a reasonable amount I'll keep it ...

Re: Rear Strut Assembly question

I edited the write up but you have to click the pic links to see them. The strut top is chopped and replaced with a different one to a) let you use the correct top nut for the shock and b) let you shorten or lengthen the tube height to suit the strut you use. http://forums.austarion.com/viewtopic.ph...

Re: Steering Box Removal?

You'll need to remove the heat shields, turbo and disconnect exhaust to get it out. Hopefully the steering shaft spline releases easier than mine did, it took some force and a block of wood to get it out. And a couple of big hammers to remove the ball joint from the pitman arm.

Sender for the oil pressure in under the front of the car, round thing with a wire coming off a tab on it.
Sender for temp is on the thermostat housing, should be two of them.

Re: Questions about lightweight pulleys for 4G63T

Pros - look pretty Cons - cost money, may not fit or be compatible, do bugger all to improve performance. Crank trigger would probably be for 2.6 litre and only useful if you're going MPI and can't find any other way to track engine position Adjustable Cam pulley can be used to move the power curve ...

Re: Replacement Walbro Fuel Pump - How to guide

The VL pump already has barbs so you don't need the adaptors like the Walbro one. Exactly :) But be sure to cut the existing fuel line as close as possible. You will then have to re-install everything before screwing it back up because it's very tight. Yep, cut hard against the metal collar on the ...

Re: Buying a battery

They do still make lead acid batteries. Most of them are. Only when you get to the start stop ones do they change they type to suit the extra grunt needed (EFB or AGM types) Pay a extra few bucks for one with a longer warranty and keep the receipt somewhere safe. I think one about 420CCA is enough, ...
