Widey at Japan's Auction

Postby JDSTAZ45 » Wed Nov 11, 2015 7:54 pm

There was a white widey (5 speed manual) that showed up for sale/auction in Japan this week.
A little damaged front end but also had electrical dramas and a fuel leak...
Sold for around $3500 to buy or about $8500 landed in Oz.

Who would have outlayed that cost?
I thought it was a good base for a project. Slim pickings at the moment for widey's at a reasonable price.

Dave, are you doubting my knowledge of what can and can't be brought here? :P
For the record, chassis' numbered 295 inclusive and under are 1988 build.

I made a $2500 bid ($7500 landed) on the car and J-spec were a little surprised to see me pay that much.
They were more surprised to see it sell at auction for that $3500 figure.
I would have paid $3500 but due to the fuel leak on the throttle body and electrical issues,
it would have been shipped as a non-goer which meant extra shipping costs.
I had the parts to finish it off, so I was a little pissed off I didn't get it :x

Ah my memory failed me! I thought it was around 220.

Do you want to buy a JD instead? :naughty
