My '85 JB Starion!!!

Postby Rainey » Sat Apr 01, 2006 5:11 pm

Hey guys, I bought my Starion today, it was just a local car, in okay condition but nothing to write home about. Drives well, everything seems pretty good, she could use a bit of TLC but apart from that I'm pretty happy.

Nice JB :D I like the white trims over the rear hatch, you can buy proper reproduction JB air dams off someone on this forum if your interested.
Watch your speed - It's virtually impossible to pick it out of the carpet if it gets blown off the table.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that its had a respray too! Looks like they buggered up and sprayed the rear window trim too!

Doesn't look half bad though. :D Don't mind my ignorance but what is the JB air dam exactly?

Oh yeah they made their own and cracked it as well. rofl

I'll be looking at removing it, at least until I find a replacement! :)

That front airdam was factory on some cars stateside i think, ive seen a few in pictures before. I like now simple it is, adds a nice chin to the car without all the frilly bits.

I think you should paint your rear window trims black tho :D.

I agree, might be a nice project actually! Same with the wiper blades, which are also painted white, I'll change that faster than a baby with a shitty nappy.

Jack one back wheel off the ground and try to spin it (out of gear, hand brake off).

If it locks up you're the proud owner of a LSD.

Don't start the car and try to spin the wheel using engine power. May not like the results.
82 GSR III starion (respray nearly complete!)
83 JA Starion...Daily Driver
01 KTM 520 trail bike (reason the staz isnt finished yet)
