Built VR4 head

Postby Lummy » Tue Oct 17, 2017 6:01 pm

Up for grabs is my VR4 DOHC head.

Brian Crower 0100 kit (valve springs and retainers)
Brian Crower 3100/3101 valves (standard size)
Brian Crower valve keepers and guides
Brian Crower stage 2 cams

It has had some light port work, but the ports on these things are huge and flow very well from the factory.

Head has been machined for MLS gasket (I was using a Cometic gasket).

Made 245rwkw at 19psi with Wiseco 8.5:1 pistons and was working well when removed. Was on a track car and did less than 30 hours of work.

No valve cover.

$600 firm

Can post at buyers expense

Do you think it would be much of an improvement on this standard reco head

I'll be using these 272 Kelford Cams but all the springs and retainers etc will be standard....

Depends on what you're chasing. The more aggressive cams will support more HP and the upgraded valve springs will control valve movement at high RPM more effectively, but if it's just a daily driven car, it's probably not worth it.
